Register for the Royal Gathering of Eagles - August 30, 2010
An opportunity for All Scouts to Celebrate!

Ticket pick-up: At the Council Office (I-435 and Holmes, Kansas City, MO) on August 19 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, and August 21 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. The Kansas City Scout Shop will be open during these hours. If you have questions, email Leslie in the Program & Camping Department.
On August 30, 2010, thousands of Scouts, particularly Eagle Scouts, will converge on Kauffman Stadium to attend a Royals baseball game as a part of the "Royal Gathering of Eagles." On that evening we are envisioning the largest assemblage of Eagle Scouts ever seen in the Midwest. We are inviting Scouts and Scouters in the Heart of America Council to join us.
The Royals will be hosting the Texas Rangers.
The August 30 game will have a distinctly Scouting flavor. A Scout will throw out the first pitch. A special presentation on the field will recognize 10 Eagle Scouts as they receive the first "Ewing M. Kauffman Eagle Scout Awards" for living the Scout Oath and Law and emulating Mr. Kauffman’s values in their personal and business lives.
For 100 years, baseball and Scouting have been two of America’s most treasured traditions, teaching the values of teamwork and integrity. Among those who were Scouts at one time, include Hall of Famers Hank Aaron, Stan Musial, and Joe DiMaggio. August 30 will be a special opportunity to celebrate Scouting’s Centennial and Eagle Scouts while enjoying America’s national pastime.

Tickets for Eagles Scouts, regardless of where you earned your Eagle, are complimentary. You must register to attend by visiting the website listed below. Tickets for family members, Scouts and Scouters can be purchased in advance at the discounted price of $5.00 each.
All units are invited to attend. This is a great opportunity for a late summer activity to kick off your fall program
